We’ve been two besties living under one mullet since 2009.
That’s over ten years of crossing our fingers scratching lotto tickets, tossing back espresso shots, going full force on flashy dance moves, bawling behind our cameras, roadtrips full of overzealous singing and snapping a million and a half photos.
We have a history and language all our own that can’t help but pour into our work. Our friendship is so obvious that we’ve been asked if we’ve been drinking…when it was only 10 a.m.!
We died laughing and said, “Nah. We’re just besties!”
says there’s a party over here, a party over there!
wave your hands in the air, shake your derriere!
Felicia is a lady of many names. Felicia, Feli, pronounce Fell-E, Tina, FeeFah, FeFe, and Phil. This is something that has happened over a 10-year friendship and most of them come with a story. Sidebar! Felicia is a badass coffee drinker. That is a fact! Coffee without Feli is just a cup of joe, coffee with her is a cup of fun.
Have you ever received the most ridiculous voicemail? Chances are Felicia is behind it and it almost makes it a challenge to outdo her. The party doesn’t stop at voicemails either. She is the coolest aunt to my boys and does all the fun aunt stuff.
There is this uncontrollable light in her that brings out ALL the fun in every situation that we are in. Not mad about it, just stating a fact. I think that because of this she is always ready for an adventure. Felicia often reminds me to not be so serious and to take the road that is way more fun. This makes her quite possibly the easiest person to travel with!
I attribute a lot of the cool factor that Feli has to her summer days with her grandma Rita and cousin Angie. I do believe that all the sugar-free lemonade and Price is Right watching with these two is the reason that Feli WON A BOAT…on the Price is Right. Still one of the best days ever. Ask us about it!
Within all the fun that we have, she has the best work ethic. She definitely gets that from her hard-working mama. Her love of adventure and seeking out great food, yeah, that comes from her restaurant-owning Father, Jake. He is the reason I think all pancakes are crap!
Felicia is the best bestie that I have ever had. She is the number one reason that I get to be a wedding photographer and why I love what I do so much. Without her I would probably be working in the Sears photo department.
Maddy is first and foremost one the bestest of friends I’ve ever had. Secondly, she is a badass mom that spends every second outside of work with her two boys. When those two boys finally hit the hay, you better believe she’s having a glass of somethin-somethin with her husband and reliving the latest quotes of the day from the littles.
She’ll never eat a pear, and will always say yes to a hot chocolate from Starbucks at the end of a wedding day while we talk about the high’s and low’s from the day so our game just keeps getting better and better.
The thing I appreciate the most about Maddy is her ability to bring meaning into everything she does, whether it’s how she interacts with her family or the way we interact with our clients. I’ve never ever seen her make so many friends in a matter of minutes then when we hop into an Uber. It’s a special talent and quite a spectacle! I equate a lot of the growth in my life to Maddy since the very beginning of our friendship! Ask us about the day she saved my life!
Side note: If it weren’t for Maddy I wouldn’t be highly addicted to coffee. Never had a drop of it until I met her! I almost forgot to tell you….something that ya’ll SHOULD know, she is the craftiest bitch I’ve ever met! I’ve never seen someone put out craft after craft errrrrry week. You want a necklace, she’s got the supplies and will have it ready in minutes. She has been crafting and giving since the day I met her. She’s sewn brides dresses and grooms pants on the spot. Her craftiness has remained true through all these years!
I’d probably be doing Glamour shots by Deb if it weren’t for her. And for the record, she’s not the biggest fan of those palm trees with the little beards. Don’t even get her started!
These three words mean you're gettin' married,
Whoomp, there it is! Hit me!
