What we’re like!

Sure, we know our stuff – timelines, settings, lighting, flash, no flash, you name it – but we’re the farthest thing from technical robots! We’re way too fun for our own good and bring all of who we are into the energy and excitement of your wedding day.

We’re half professional camera ninjas and half your new best friends that know how to Macgyver any situation. We get the shots you didn’t even know you were missing while also tying 16 groomsmen’s bowties, finding all the buttons for your bustle and sewing up last-minute pant rips for all dance floor enthusiasts.

We’re high-fiving, business party animals here to deliver both.

what our process is all about!

Ten steps is all it takes to do this thing!

  • Drop us a line! Easy enough, right? We take your deets and either punch some numbers and hit you back up with a few quality, custom options (only what you need and nothing you don’t, can I get a loud amen!) or get on a call to really nail down what you need. If one of our pricing options is feeling like the ticket, we can digitally high-five or do you one better and high-five in person over a cup of joe.
  • With a signed contract and deposit, we’re good to go! You’re on our calendar! Easy, right?
  • Champagne. You guys. Us. Everyone’s poppin’ it.
  • Before, during or after said champagne clinkin’, we’ll get you in front of the camera for your engagement session. Don’t worry, we’ll give you tons of direction and move you into the best light so you’ll be obsessed with the photos. By the end of it, you guys will be pros and, wait, did we just become best friends? Yup! A month later, you’ll have those money shots in your inbox.
  • A month before your big day, we’ll organize and finalize the rundown of the day: family lists, program timeline, must-get photos and then place our bets on whose custom drink is gonna be the fan favorite.
  • Oh dang! It’s time to tie the knot with big drinks, big feels and big dance moves!
  • A week later, we send you a few sneak peek goodies to get on the ‘gram, man!
  • Two months after the I Do’s, we’ll deliver an online gallery so you can feast your eyes on every single photo over and over again and again.
  • If we were rolling video, your edited film will be ready to make you weep about 6 months after the wedding. Get the tissues. All the tissues.
  • We gucci! You’re married. We’re all best friends. It’s a win-win.

  • Photography and videography collections start at $7,300 separately and start at $12,400 for a tag team duo.

  • Our equipment is the best blend of a few styles and mediums to give you a fully-rounded feel!

    Depending on the day, we’ll be running around with a mix of digital cameras for crisp stills and video, dreamy film cameras like our old school Contax, 35mm and Super 8, plus our legendary Dad cam with the mini DV that looks like mini VHS tapes (remember those?!)

    In our initial consultation, we discuss the look and style you’re going for to match you to the best equipment. So, no, we won’t force the Super 8 if you’re not into it, but we typically have the Contax. That bad boy fills our souls and photos with the yummiest colors.

  • How long are your films typically?
    Our collections include a 1-3 minute trailer film and a 5-7 minute feature film.
  • What’s the difference between a trailer film and a feature film?
    The trailer is a quick snippet of brilliant moments that feel like a fun music video while the feature is a longer story laced with speeches, vows, toasts or anything that audibly helps us tell your story.
  • Do you only shoot digital?
    You kidding?! We’re masters of many forms, my friend! We can come with a few old school Super 8 cameras with a few reels of film ready, but can take the party even further with a couple of retro camcorders that your groomsmen and bridesmaids can go completely ape with. Your final film will beautifully bring together all forms of whatever we’ve shot together.
  • Do you choose the music or can we pick a specific song?
    We’re the master composers of the film soundtrack because we have our eyes on a few things:
    1. Song licensing is insanely expensive and illegal without purchasing, so we know what’s feasible.
    2. Critical elements like pacing, build up and arc are essential to setting the tone and telling a great story, and though a ton of songs are catchy or romantic, they might not have the structure we need.
    3. The unbelievable moment when you first hear your song while you’re watching your wedding again is what we live for! Wherever you are when you hear it for the rest of your life, you’ll think of that magical day. We want to craft up that magic for you!
  • How much do couples typically spend on wedding coverage?
    Photography and videography collections start at $6800 for a local Santa Barbara area wedding, but wind up to be around $8000-$10,000 in total. This includes an engagement or narrative session so we’re basically besties by the time your wedding rolls around!
  • How many hours does your rate get us?
    Our minimum is 6, but 7-9 hours is ideal for us to get real creative and make sure we’ve got everything you need.
  • How many images do we get?
    Between 100-150/hour is our usual, but this can vary massively based on things like your guest count, shot list and dinner set-up, so that number isn’t set in stone. A typical 8-hour wedding day gets anywhere from 900-1100 edited photos.
  • Do you shoot film?
    Are we addicted to Catch Phrase?! YES! We cover everything digitally, but bring out the Contax camera for detail shots, portrait sessions and morning moments when the lighting allows. Though low light churches and cozy, candle-lit receptions are romantic as hell, they aren’t ideal for film. Great film shots that make the cut will be color matched with your digital photos for a cohesive, final gallery!
  • Do I own the copyright to the photos?
    We retain the copyright to keep the integrity of our editing locked in, but you have the printing rights to post and print as you wish!
