Tequila MX | L + Z
March 11, 2024

When Lindsey and Zach started planning their wedding in Tequila, Mexico they wanted everyone to fall in love with this magical location as much as they did and boy did it work! From the start of the trip with a buss ride into this beautiful town, to tequila tasing, welcome dinner with a Mariachi and New Years fireworks, these two planed an epic party that will not soon be forgotten.

We have had the pleasure of not only working with Lindsey as an event professional, she’s the owner and founder of Magnolia Event Design, but we have become the best of friends. We are there for the biggest moments to the smallest moments and we can’t get enough. Lindsey has always pushed the importance of video to her clients and she also lives with the same urge to document every moment.

It was no surprise to us that when Zach was getting ready to propose to Lindsey he asked us, along with Emily Leppoke to document this moment in time. Lindsey and Zach always wanted a destination wedding but COVID had other plans, hello surprise wedding! Shortly after the proposal, they invited their friends and family to a black tie engagement party where they had a crazy idea to surprise everyone with a wedding.

On to “wedding two”! Legally married and happy, Lindsey and Zach never gave up their dream of the destination. Get your passports ready, because Tequila, Mexico is what they ended up choosing.

After their engagement party turned wedding, Lindsey and Zach joyously welcomed their beautiful son, Parker, into their family. However, complications with Parker’s health arose, leading Lindsey and Zach to make the difficult decision to postpone their plans for another year.

Two short years later we found ourselves in Mexico on New Years celebrating these two amazing humans again. Lindsey wore the same Pronovias gown from the first wedding with a beautiful addition. Emily Plank hand painted Lindsey’s bow train in honor of their family and Parker with blue flowers, butterflies, and a hummingbird. Zach was just as fancy as Lindsey in a black tuxedo with dark blue Gucci loafers and a midnight velvet bow tie that was thankfully already tied. Our favorite part of Zach’s outfit was the frog prince cufflinks that he wore in honor of sweet Parker.

Sophie, a dear friend of Lindsey and Zach, and an amazing planner for her own company, officiated the most emotional and heartfelt ceremony we have been to in a long time. From laughter to tears the most beautiful rollercoaster of emotions came out in full force. Hacienda el Centenario, was the perfect backdrop where guests enjoyed a Charro dancers, Mariachi music at cocktail hour and who could forget the tequila. The evening was rounded out with a three-course dinner, live music, a painted dance floor that provided the perfect space for hours and hours of dancing. With dancing happening late into the night guests were given late-night churros for an energy boost and surprised yet again with fireworks at midnight to ring in the new year!

There was so much more planned within this weekend. Watch their video below to get an even better feel for the party they were finally able to throw!
