June gloom filled the sky of a very energy-charged morning. Julie and Eric were ready to make the hike up to the top of Toro Canyon to get married! The same hike that they made the day Eric proposed and again when we had the engagement session. For this hike, they had their families in tow as they made their way to the top of Toro Canyon Park to witness them say, “I do.” 

COVID-19 has had its ups and downs for everyone and all in different ways. Wedding planning or the mastery of planning and replanning your wedding three times in four months is bananas. Luckily, Julie and Eric are champs and have rolled with the punches on this one. Not to mention they have one kickass coordinator! Sophie with Amazing Days! I’m talking to you girl!  

During this time of all the replanning, they remained cautiously optimistic that their new date in August would work out. Taking a closer look at what that would mean for their wedding day. Everyone wearing masks, sitting 6 ft apart, and no dancing! The vision of their wedding day did not align with these restrictions. So their original date was back in play! 

After being together for almost ten years they both felt ready to take this next step. “Being engaged and building up excitement for the big day had been fun, but after having to push it back twice… we were just ready. We recognized that a wedding is about two people committing their lives to each other, and all the other things were just extra.” Julie said. 

Being able to gather their close families on their original date made their experience feel much more intimate and emotional than they had ever expected. It was a day filled with love. We are so happy to have been at the top of Toro Canyon with Julie, Eric, and their families to document this special day!
